Qur'an Recitation Modules
For Alimiya Diploma Pathway A

Reciting the Quran with Tajweed and Tartil is incumbent upon every individual. Allah (swt) says in the Quran: “And recite the Quran with measured recitation (73:4)”. Allah (swt) also says: “Those to whom We have given the Book read it as it ought to be read (2:121)”.
The meaning of Tajweed and Tartil is ‘Improvement or Embellishment’ but it may be defined as: ‘the knowledge of giving each letter its right in accordance with the way it was received by the Companions from the Prophet (saw) and he (saw) from Allah (swt) via Gibril (as)’.
